Corporate Governance Junior Analyst

At Alembeeks VotingLab we are committed to providing best corporate governance research and advice to our clients. Our team is responsible for leading our clients towards engagement activities with companies they invest in and for managing their voting at shareholder meetings. Our analyst team is based in Mollet del Vallès, Barcelona, however the role covers all our European clients. The role contains both research and operational responsibilities.

 

Main Activities

  • Day to day voting of shareholder meeting events.
  • Assisting on client facing ESG engagement matters that arise.
  • Analysis of global companies on their approach to ESG issues and the management of such issues.
  • Working with clients’ investment teams on governance issues and engagement with companies.
  • Various operational tasks relating to Corporate Governance / Voting process

 

Desirable Background

  • Degree or equivalent from appropriate academic courses.
  • Master or appropriate post-graduate in finance.

 

Skills and Experience

  • 2 years’ experience in corporate governance or equity analysis.
  • Awareness of ESG factors affecting listed companies.
  • Be organised and disciplined with a methodical and analytical approach to tasks.
  • Detail oriented when reading lengthy documentation.
  • Have an understanding of client investment principles / investment management.
  • Good overall current knowledge of the responsible investment industry.
  • Be able to work under pressure prioritizing own workload in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Be flexible and show willingness to assist colleagues and participate in group projects.
  • Proven presentation, communication and influencing skills with senior investment professionals and board members, both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
  • Current experience of Microsoft Excel/Word, including spreadsheet preparation and basic formula.

Non-financial & Sustainability Junior Analyst

This role would be ideally suited to an outstanding student or recent graduate with some relevant work experience. Alembeeks provides sustainability and software consultancy services, undertaking non-financial reporting.

 

Main Activities

  • Supporting projects, working on specific account delivering sustainable data management tasks in relation to non-financial and sustainability reporting
  • Undertake analyses of clients reporting requirements, providing a consultative service where necessary

 

Desirable background

  • Knowledgeable about management accounting, carbon management, climate change and sustainability
  • Highly numerate with a passion for data
  • A strong communicator
  • An effective problem solver

 

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant degree (Business, Accounting, Finance, Economy…)
  • Relevant Master preferred
